I'm not a _________ kind of person.

I was listening to the radio while driving to school yesterday morning and the radio show posed this sentence.  Some examples of theirs:

I'm not a buffet kind of person.
I'm not an after 11 pm kind of person.
I'm not a Dancing With the Stars kind of person.  (we all know this is not me!!)
I'm not a fishing kind of person.

I was trying to figure out what kind of person I am not.  I am having a really hard time with this.  I can only think of things that I like, but that's not the sentence.

The only one I decided on; however, I know there are so many more.
I'm not a scary movie kind of person.

So, ask you to fill in the blank......................I'm not a ________ kind of person.

Is it bad?

Is it bad that I was a little disappointed that I didn't feel the earthquake from Tuesday??

I know you are probably thinking I'm crazy and I can't really argue that point because most times I feel as though I am crazy.  However, I would like to know what it feels like to be in an earthquake. Let me clarify.......not one of such magnitude that there is massive devastation, as in Japan, Haiti, etc. You do earthquake drills all your elementary, middle and high school career. I just want to be able to use my earthquake drill skills.

Meatloaf or Banana Bread???

I am a frequent baker of banana bread.  I really enjoy cooking/baking and giving my creations to others so they can enjoy.  Who am I kidding??  I normally have bananas that are too ripe to eat and hate to waste food, so I bake banana bread.  Last night was one of those nights.  There was a potluck in the PT office where I am doing my clinical rotation, so what a great time to bake some banana bread.  The bread takes about an hour to bake, so I normally catch up on a few things while it is in the oven.  Well, last night was the season premiere of Bachelor Pad 2 (if you don't know, I love trash TV and it was 3 hours long.......who wouldn't watch??) and so I might have forgotten about banana bread for a bit.  I might have overcooked it by about 10 minutes.  When I took it out of the oven, only the top looked to be a little black.  My hubby reassured me that it wasn't burned to terribly bad, so I decided to go ahead and take it to the potluck.

Fast forward to the potluck the next day.

Someone asked if my loaf of banana bread wrapped in aluminum foil was meatloaf????  Really??  It wasn't that bad and it really did not look like meatloaf!!!  Of course I was the laughing stock of the office..................

It's the last week at clinical. I guess I might as well go out with a bang!!!

Valuable Lessons

A good friend of mine recently reprimanded me for not updating my blog very often or at all.  I told her I didn't think we lived a very exciting life.  She adamantly disagreed, so I told her I would give my full effort.

I am currently doing a clinical rotation at the hospital here in town and it has been a very eye opening experience and one that I have absolutely enjoyed.  While at the hospital today I learned two very important lessons.

1. Never, ever buy cheap deodorant!  During a recent grocery store trip, I realized that the deodorant I was wearing was almost $4 a stick. I just really thought that was outrageous so I went for the cheap $1.75 stick. Not a good choice.........

2. Effort intolerance is a diagnosis. I reviewed a patient's chart at the hospital and a doctor had diagnosed a patient with "effort intolerance."  What a clever way to say someone is lazy?! I totally put that in my pocket to use at a later date.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I'll try to be better about blogging........maybe we'll become more interesting and I'll have something to actually blog about.

Spring Dance

My sweet and beautiful niece recently went to her first middle school dance.  She allowed her aunts to do her hair and make-up for this special occasion.  We were so honored and thrilled to be able to help.  In all honesty, we really didn't have to do much because she is already so beautiful.  She had a wonderful time at the dance and I was so happy to be a part of it!  Here are a few pictures from that day.

The Morgan Twinks!!!
This picture was taken after leaving the hospital the night the Morgan Twinks were born.  First, my niece is growing up so fast and into a beautiful young lady.  I love her very much!  Second, my husband is hot! Third, they both look so much like my mother-in-law Debra.  I think that's a wonderful thing to say and carry on. Lastly, Uncle Ashley loves his Sis (her nickname).  She ranks pretty high with him, most days higher than I do.
